As a small child, I loved seeing the wheat fields on the way to our holiday destination in France. I chose “the wheatfield with cypresses’, painted by Van Gogh in Saint Rémy de Provence. Because I mainly illustrate fashion, my thoughts went to Viktor & Rolf’s Haute Couture. Also because Viktor & Rolf Couture collection is inspired by the raw energy of Vincent van Gogh’s exuberant depiction of the rial countryside. Flowerprint- A line babydoll dress paired with a straw hat put together with a spontaneous touch, and lovely flowers petals sprout outwards and escape the garment. A challenge to apply the painting technique in my illustration, also to use different materials such as ink, watercolor and acrylic paint.
